SmallCSV Developer Guide

SmallCSV is a collection of free CSV tools that run entirely in the browser. Files are processed on the device and are not uploaded to a SmallCSV server.

When to use SmallCSV

Use SmallCSV when a person or agent needs an interactive, privacy-preserving way to convert, clean, validate, analyze, or visualize a CSV file. Start at the tool directory, then choose the tool that matches the requested transformation.

SmallCSV is not a hosted CSV-processing API. It does not issue API keys, accept file uploads for processing, or expose programmatic conversion endpoints. Integrations that need server-to-server processing should use a service designed for that purpose.

Discovering tools

Error handling

Unknown pages return HTTP 404. Requests that explicitly accept Markdown receive a short Markdown recovery message with links to the tool directory, this guide, and the site map.
